How the Visitors Bureau benefits our local community.

TERRYL VENCL is the executive director of the Maui Visitors Bureau. Vencl joined the Maui Visitors Bureau (MVB) as executive director in July 2003. Prior, she was the executive director of the Maui Hotel Association for thirteen years.

 
As MVB’s executive director, Vencl also serves as its president and is responsible for overseeing tourism marketing for the County of Maui, which encompasses the islands of Maui, Moloka‘i and Lana‘i. The organization’s mission is to “market and promote travel to the island of Maui and in concert with Moloka‘i and Lana‘i, travel to the islands of Moloka‘i and Lana‘i and to maintain a continuing interest in the well being of visitors.”
 
Vencl is on the board of directors for the Maui Chamber of Commerce and the Maui Economic Development Board and has chaired both the Maui County Charter Review Commission and the Maui Chamber of Commerce. She has also served as president of the Maui Business Council, executive director of the Miss Maui Scholarship Pageant and president of the Maui Academy of Travel & Tourism.
