NA KEIKI O EMALIA

Na Keiki o Emalia’s mission is to improve the lives of children and teens (ages 3-18) grieving the death of a parent or sibling.

Na Keiki o Emalia will run groups for these children where they can share their experiences in a supportive, safe environment. Groups will offset a child’s feeling alone in grief and provide a safe, healing environment where children can express their feelings and also experience joy and laughter. Na Keiki o Emalia will run concurrent groups for the child’s parent/s so they may learn healthy parenting skills for their grieving children as well as get support. (Queen Liliuokalani Children’s Center is the only agency on Maui using bereavement groups for children and their families but can only accept clients of Hawaiian ancestry.)
